We are currently recruiting experienced Registered General Nurses to join the team of staff at the nursing home in Oakham, Leicestershire, United Kingdom. It's a full time permanent position (38,5 hours per week, days/nights) - minimum 1 year contract.
The main duties:
Assist when required in the safe ordering, storing and administration of all medication to residents
Continually seek to improve care delivered to residents and report any ill-health amongst residents
Take responsibility for resident care and ensure that care plans and records are evaluated, up to date and accurate.
Proactively seek and utilise opportunities to develop their own professional and clinical skills and knowledge.
Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with the residents needs.
The successful candidate will possess:
Current registration with NMC or registration in process
Evidence of Personal Development
Ability to communicate effectively and to understand and be understood
Experience with elder clients
Experience with clients with dementia (desirable)
Knowledge of care planning
Sound planning and organisation skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Permanent contract (minimum 1 year) with flexible shifts
Accommodation for 1 month and assistance in securing accommodation later
